SBGrid Membership

SBGrid software is available to members of the SBGrid consortium. Membership is open to academic and industry researchers using Structural Biology methods such as Cryo-EM, NMR, and X-ray crystallography. We also support software for structure prediction and modeling. To join, or for more info, see SBGrid Membership.

Register for an installation manager account

Once a member, you'll need to register for an SBGrid account to install software. This provides access to the software installation manager and support resources. The registration process requires an institutional email address (no gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc.). Your lab's Principal Investigator (PI) will need to verify your membership.

Accessing the Software

SBGrid offers multiple ways to access the software:

  • Graphical User Interface (GUI): A user-friendly interface for those who prefer a visual approach.

  • Command-Line Interface (CLI): For advanced users who are comfortable working in a terminal.

Access the software through the SBGrid Installation manager, which provides instructions and links to the appropriate interface.

Local Site Installation

For larger research groups or specific installation requirements, SBGrid software can be installed locally as a complete collection. This mode is typically used for groups of labs or HPC resource users. To request a local site installation, contact the SBGrid team. They will provide guidance and assistance throughout the process.

Additional Resources

SBGrid provides documentation and support resources to help users maximize the software's potential. If you encounter any problems or have questions, contact the SBGrid support team at bugs@sbgrid.org.
